This yoga class will allow participants to increase strength, flexibility and core development through a series of movements and poses that work the entire body.  Class will include flowing movement from standing to mat work as well as muscle toning holds and balance poses. Please bring a mat, towel and water.  Come join instructor Theresa Labrecque for a great workout!Yoga: Monday — 5:30pm Activity Room 1 Wednesday - 7:00am - 7:30am Activity Room 1 Saturday—8:30-9:30 am at Little Falls (outside or in the gym depending on weather)

The GYBA is a non-profit organization that’s primary purpose is to provide 3rd through 8th grade youth residing in Gorham or enrolled in Gorham schools competitive travel basketball opportunities beyond those offered by the Gorham Recreation Department. Come join the fun as passionate running coaches help promote the sport of running for youth in grades K-5th.This program will consist of 7 practice sessions and we hope to add in a couple of mock races with other communities. Practices will be held at the field behind Narragansett Elementary School from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Monday nights. Nothing is required except a good pair of running shoes and a positive attitude. P.S. Gorham recreation fall field hockey is open to all levels of field hockey for girls in grades 1-5. We will primarily be scrimmaging and working on learning the rules and strategy of the game. We will meet weekly on Tuesday nights from 5:30-6:30pm and will split into smaller scrimmage groups based on skill/experience level. For more information contact Shara Groom at shara@linscottphoto.com. She will be coordinating and running the sessions. She played field hockey through the collegiate level and has a daughter in 4th grade who plays and loves field hockey. Our goal in starting the rec program is to provide additional opportunities to play field hockey in order to gain experience and practice. If you are interested in volunteering and helping, please let me know.
