Based on the success of last years Shred Ready program, we have decided to offer Trail Ready this year as well.Trail Ready is designed as a foundational and socially focused program. Here we will focus on the basic skills that lay our foundation on the mountain bike. Beyond that, our goal here is about getting out in the woods with friends at a pace that works for everyone in the group. The Shred Ready MTB program kicks things up a notch. Shred Ready is designed for the rider who wants progression. Here, with your PMBIA certified coaches, we will still focus on foundation (the best riders in the world do!) but we will also build upon that foundation, looking for more confidence, more speed, more gnar and more fun!The Shred Ready curriculum will cover skills such as body position and balance, brake control and modulation, gear management, climbing and descending as well as more intermediate to advanced skills consistent with each rider’s progression.If you want to take your riding to the next level, are looking for more speed, or are possibly considering MTB competition, Shred Ready is the place for you!If you are new to mountain biking, Trail Ready is a pre-requisite for this program.Riders who participated in Shred Ready last year or who are already fairly confident on the trails is who this program is intended for.For questions, more information or to volunteer please email Coach Will, tolefamily17@gmail.comRider Requirements:- Riders must be confident riding on two wheels (no training wheels or balance aids).- Bikes must have at least 3 gears and be capable of moderate off-road riding.- Bikes must have front & rear hand brakes (no pedal brakes)- Riders must have a proper fitting helmet and closed toed footwear ( no crocs, sandals, flip flops, slides, slippers etc…) Knee and elbow pads are encouraged but not required.- Riders should have a bike mounted water bottle or hydration packRider age groups:Group 1: 6-8Group 2: 9-11Group 3: 12-15

Here we will focus on the basic skills that lay our foundation on the mountain bike. Beyond that, our goal here is about getting out in the woods with friends at a pace that works for everyone in the group. Here you will gain the skills necessary to begin riding trails safely and in control, learn the etiquette to respect our trail systems and other riders and spend some awesome afternoons in the woods with friends.Whether you are brand new to mountain biking or, you rode shred ready last year and are wanting a more laid-back casual riding adventure, Trail Ready is where you want to be!Please reach out to coach Will, tolefamily17@gmail.com with questions or to volunteer.Rider requirements:- Rider must be able to ride a two wheeled bicycle with no training wheels or balance aids- Rider’s bike should be capable of light off-road riding (really this just means knobby tires). Single speed bikes are welcome but must have hand brakes (front & rear)- Riders must have a proper fitting helmet and closed toed footwear (no crocs, sandals, slides, slippers etc…)- Riders should also bring a bike mounted water bottle or hydration pack.Rider age groups:Group 1: 6-8 yearsGroup 2: 9-11 yearsGroup 3: 12-15 years
