Youth Basketball - 1st/2nd Grade Boys: Red @ Practice Gorham Recreation and GYBA (Gorham Youth Basketball Association) have joined together to collaborate with USA Basketball and their youth development guidelines to bring a united youth basketball program to Gorham this season for grades K-6, 7&8, 9-12! You can check it out here!https://www.usab.com/youth/development/youth-guidelines-rules-and-standards.aspxFor the 2022-23 season, GYBA will be managing one 6th grade boys competitive team, one 6th grade girls competitive team, two 5th grade boys competitive teams, and two 5th grade girls competitive teams. Competitive teams will be made up of a max. of 10 players per team. To be considered for GYBA teams, you must register with Gorham Rec Youth Basketball and indicate if you wish to be considered for the GYBA competitive games program. Youth Basketball - 1st/2nd Grade Girls: Kelly Green @ Practice Gorham Recreation and GYBA (Gorham Youth Basketball Association) have joined together to collaborate with USA Basketball and their youth development guidelines to bring a united youth basketball program to Gorham this season for grades K-6, 7&8, 9-12! You can check it out here!https://www.usab.com/youth/development/youth-guidelines-rules-and-standards.aspxFor the 2022-23 season, GYBA will be managing one 6th grade boys competitive team, one 6th grade girls competitive team, two 5th grade boys competitive teams, and two 5th grade girls competitive teams. Competitive teams will be made up of a max. of 10 players per team. To be considered for GYBA teams, you must register with Gorham Rec Youth Basketball and indicate if you wish to be considered for the GYBA competitive games program. GYBA will be holding assessments the week of October 17. Schedule and location TBD.GYBA is coordinating an opportunity for players already registered with Gorham Rec for 3rd & 4th grade boys or girls basketball to participate in a competitive league in addition to Rec. This opportunity will be for a "game only, no practice" program to be managed by GYBA. When registering for Rec Basketball, please indicate if you wish to be considered for the GYBA competitive games program. All players wanting to participate in this added program will be considered and there will NOT be any assessments for players in 3rd and 4th grade only.
